Compare
TeamCaddy and TeamSnap.
TeamSnap has run youth sport software since 2009 and has a far larger installed base than we do. This page is where we say what each product actually does, including the parts where they win.
How this page is sourced. Every statement about TeamSnap comes from their published pricing page or their own help documentation, quoted or closely paraphrased. We haven't characterised their product beyond what they document, and we haven't invented a number for either side. If something here is out of date or wrong, tell us and we'll correct it.
The short version
Four differences that change how a season runs.
01 — Structure
Teams can move.
TeamSnap's documentation states that teams "can not be moved from one division to another, moved between seasons, or merged into other teams". Promotion, relegation and mid-season realignment therefore mean building the team again from scratch.
In TeamCaddy a team is a thing that persists. Move it between divisions, roll it into next season, merge two sides that have shrunk — the roster, the history and the parents' logins come with it.
02 — Communication
A club can talk to itself.
TeamSnap documents email as the only communication type available at the organisation level, and their documented way to message a board of directors is to "set up a team for your board of directors".
We give a club real messaging: chat and announcements at club level, targeted by role or age group, with attachments, and kept where you can find them again.
03 — Packaging
The add-ons are included.
TeamSnap prices its Auto-Scheduler, background checks and public website as add-ons on top of the business subscription, listed as "contact us for add-on pricing".
All three are in the TeamCaddy Club plan at $29 a month. One price, no quote, no call.
04 — Ads
Nobody sees an advert.
On TeamSnap, an ad-free experience is listed as a feature you get by paying.
TeamCaddy carries no advertising on any plan, including the free one. A children's sports roster is not an advertising audience, and we'd rather charge four dollars.

Be fair
When TeamSnap is the better choice.
We'd rather you picked the right thing than picked us. If any of these describe you, stay where you are.
You need to take money this season
TeamSnap has registration, invoicing and card processing. We have none of it, and telling you to run subs through a bank transfer would be pretending otherwise.
You want a serious scheduler
Their scheduler detects several classes of conflict, including travel time between back-to-back fixtures, and handles venues with sub-venues, blackout dates, division templates and swap weeks. It is genuinely good. Note that it sits on the higher tiers and is an add-on on the business tier.
You want per-player statistics
We record the final score and stop. If your club tracks minutes, goals and season records per child, TeamSnap does that and we don't.
Sponsorship money matters to your club
TeamSnap runs a sponsorship programme that returns real money to clubs each season. For a club running on fumes, that can be worth more than any software difference. We have nothing comparable.
You need a long track record
They have been at this since 2009 with a support organisation to match. We launched in 2026 and say so on every page. If your club committee needs a safe pair of hands, that's a legitimate reason to wait.
Your league already runs on it
If your fixtures are pushed down from a league that uses TeamSnap, switching one team means re-typing the fixture list by hand every week. Wait for the league.
If payments matter to you
Three things to check before you commit.
We don't have a payments product, so this isn't a pitch. It's what their documentation says, and it's worth reading before a club treasurer relies on it.
- Failed invoice installments are not retried. Their documentation states that "no further attempts will be made". Registration installments do retry three times.
- Refunds are per payment. There is no bulk refund; refunds "can only be submitted per-payment". Cancelling a rained-off tournament for sixty families is sixty actions.
- Partial refunds don't return the processing fee. Full refunds do. If you often refund part of a fee, that difference adds up over a season.
Switching
What moving across actually involves.
01
Export
Pull the roster, contacts and schedule out of TeamSnap as CSV. Everything you need is in those three files.
02
Import
We map the columns, including several guardians per player. Nothing is re-typed. It takes about ten minutes for a team.
03
Invite
One link to the parents. Historic statistics and payment records don't come across, because we have nowhere to put them.
Compared against TeamSnap's published documentation and pricing as of July 2026. TeamSnap is a trademark of its owner; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
